Kade's birthday was a great! Dinosaurs are his thing. And let me tell you, he can tell you a thing or two about them. We are amazed at how much he knows about many kinds of dinosaurs. It's very funny and if you ever want to talk dinosaurs, he's available!
After daily Mass, we went strawberry picking where we picked many of them and played at the playgound. Then we had his party. Two days later we took a friend of his and one of Cora's friends to the NC Museum of Natural Science. They had a wonderful time! Thank you to everyone who called and/or sent a gift! He is one lucky boy!
Kade is doing wonderful! He is a gentle soul, funny, and happy. He LOVES having his own bedroom and organizes it every night before he goes to bed. He told me one day that he wanted to start homeschooling on our new school room. So, off we went to get his first printing book! He's been learning a new letter every day for two weeks now and is an absolute joy!

The museum is such a great place and you are sure the go-to man about dinosaurs. Sounds like you had a great birthday.

Happy Birthday to Kade! We had a Mass offered for him on May 1st and his card is still sitting in my inbox:(. When you receive it, you will know that our little whirlwind experience is settling down:).
ReplyDeleteSo Kade's a dino guy?! None of my boys have been, so we needed on in the family:). Has he watched "Night at the Museum yet?" We all really like it. Gotta love Rex! We're eager to see the second one...what about you?

ReplyDeleteHe is soooo a dino guy. It's really serious. He goes beyon the normal dinos like T-Rex, triceratops, and teradons etc... And he can give details about when they lived, what they ate, how they hunt, physical features that make them different. It's really fun! We haven't had him watch that yet, but recently talked about it. I remember you told me to see it and I really liked it. It might be time! (:
Devin and Aiden will most likely get to the new movie without me so I'll have them let you know what he thinks.

We tried to watch Night at the Meuseum and it didn't work. COra was really the one who couldn't handle it. Seeing the nightguard get beat up and picked on was just too much! (; We had to stop it after about 45 minutes. Oh, well! We'll try again in a few years!
